An existing office building with bar/ restaurants at ground floor, Yorkshire House occupies a prominent position in Leeds on the corner of East Parade and Greek Street, the former forming part of the Inner City Loop Road. A 1960s building, it was in dire need of refurbishment in order to provide a higher rental income for the client.
The brief called for the building to be made more appealing for prospective and current tenants. This was achieved through creative building fabric and services design. As well as options to make the space more usable and flexible, the scheme upgraded the façade from what was a passive feature in the Leeds skyline to a feature building capable of providing prospective tenants with the presence they desired.
